LISTEN to Black Women’s Voices
“This is the world you have made yourself, now you have to live in it.”- Nina Simone
This is your one wild and precious life (to quote beloved Mary Oliver). You have made this wonderful and oft-fucked up life for yourself, so may we celebrate it as we find our way forward with humility and joy.
Inspired by Sacred Warrioess Maeve, Goddess of Sovereignty
View of my altar this morning, looking out over the sacred landscape of the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. I am fully living into the world I have created for myself (the joy and the challenge ever dancing together) and am receiving the gifts of a pilgrimage for myself before I hold space for a slew of pilgrims I will be welcoming next week.
One such pilgrim who will be sharing time with me in community is a spectacular human being: Sister Sadada. She is a black American who is reckoning with her Irish ancestral past (not for the faint of heart if you go just a bit below the surface). She is seeking financial support for her work here and if you might be inclined to assist her that would be wonderful (we gave her a large scholarship for the time she will be sharing with us). I would be so grateful to you, dear community, if you might be able to honor her work with some financial reciprocation and/ or a prayer for her journeys. You can learn more about Sister Sadada HERE.
With so much love and gratitude for all the ways you make and re-make your world.
Sending love and prayers for our Sister Sadada and her journey. 🙏🏻☮️💗💞✨💞 I so enjoyed reading about her and also, her grandfather’s violin. 🙏🏻
I pray Sister Sadada’s time in Ireland is generative and restorative as she connects with her Ancestral Homeland.
